My Holiday Gift Guide for New Parents

This year has been a whirlwind! I'm so grateful to be a new parent and also know it can be overwhelming and intense some days. Here are a few gifts that I think would be lovely treats for the parents of young kids in your life. To be honest, I think these gifts would be loved by anyone but I do find these small gestures do go a long way for those of us with children right now. Navigating being a new parent  in the pandemic is isolating, nerve wracking and can be very lonely. Just sending out a little something to those you love makes a big difference.

Homemade Meals: These are really such a special gift for anyone but especially a new parent. Dropping off some cookies, granola or pot of soup is a great way to let someone know you care. These types of gifts don’t have to be pricey but they are so thoughtful and special.

100% Pure Sheet Masks: I love these things! These masks are a nice little invitation to relax and enjoy a few minutes to yourself. The green tea mask is my favorite.

Stellar Eats Cookie Mixes: These are great mixes for cookies, muffins, scones, banana bread and more! Really easy to use and very delicious, great for folks with special diets too! My favourites are the Double Chocolate Cookie and the Brownies.

Candles from Stone Tulip Goods: a fellow mom-friend and maker, I'm obsessed with these little scented soy candles. They make a lovely stocking stuffer. My favorite scents are Deep Woods and Pine.

Eucalyptus Steam Shower Tabs: Taking a leisurely bath might not be realistic for a new parent but these help make a quick shower feel like a spa-like retreat.

Province Apothecary’s Daily Glow Essentials: I love this kit as an introduction to super simple skincare! The products are beautiful, easy to use and work for a variety of skin types. This is a great start for folks who have noticed big shifts in their skin postpartum and are looking to change up their routine.

Rainbo Mushroom Tinctures: Whether it be for energy, focus or immunity, these tinctures are truly something special. Made with active extracts help to nourish the body and offer that extra bit of support and stamina to new parents. I love their Reishi Tincture to De-Stress and the Cordyceps Tincture for Energy. A Massage from Eastwood Wellness Co.: A fun fact about most new parents is that their bodies are burnt out, tired and often sore so a nice massage ( and maybe some babysitting) is a really great gift. I love the entire team at Eastwood Wellness, it's a beautiful, cozy and comfortable space that does exceptional work. You can read more about owner and founder Jamie, here!

Comfy and cute sweatsuits: In this new phase of life, comfort is key! Sweats that are comfortable but also cute and easy to wear to a coffee date are perfect. I love the Morning Waffle Sets from Province of Canada and The Contessa Set from Soft Focus

Custom Bag from Never Ending Weekend: These bright and cheery bags are made to haul ass and look great doing it. Perfect for a family on the go with countless kid centered things to keep on them at ALL TIMES! I  love that they’re beautiful, come in a variety of colours  and are made with sturdy waxed canvas. What a treat!

These are just a few of my favourites from some of the shops and brands that I love. Whatever you decide to give, I hope it’s well loved and appreciated. Happy Holidays!
